Q: What are supervised and sponsored activities?
A: These are activities or events that schools, teachers and volunteers participate
in. They can be educational, recreational, athletic, and spiritual in nature. They
are planned throughout the year and are activities that are sponsored and supervised
by the school. Overnight Field Trips are covered only if the additional premium
is paid.

Q: Who is covered?
A: Students and individuals identified by and on record of the school as
being a part of the activities covered and if premium is received for them.

Q: What is Excess (or Secondary) Accident Medical Coverage?
A: This means that the policy pays after any other insurance is payable.
If no other insurance is available this policy becomes Primary and pays the claims
without Deductibles. Also if there is other coverage this plan would pay out of
pocket expenses such as Deductibles and Co-insurance.

Q: Is travel in my personal auto covered under the Accident Medical
policy?
A: There is coverage under the Base Student Accident Medical Policy, on an
Excess basis, when traveling to or from a sponsored activity. Under the Catastrophic
Accident Policy, only travel that is paid for or reimbursed by the school is covered.

Q: Who pays the claims?
A: The Base Student Accident claims are paid by UnitedHealthcare Insurance
Company through the plan’s administrator, HSR, Inc. The Catastrophic Accident Medical
claims are paid by Nationwide Insurance Company.

Q: How are students and volunteers added or deleted to these plans?
A: The insurance companies have assumed in their pricing that the number
of students and volunteers shown on the application will remain constant throughout
the policy term. No additional premium or refunds will be made during the policy
term. If your enrollment figures do change by more than 10%, we ask that you please
notify us in writing.

Q: If my school registers mid-year, will we get a reduction in
the cost?
A: For Student Accident coverage, the policy will terminate on the date the
Master Policy terminates (June 30) regardless of when you enroll. The Catastrophic
Accident policy will also terminate on July 1. All premiums paid are considered
fully earned premium.

Q: Will we receive a copy of the Policies?
A: Yes. Each school will receive a Master Policy which includes all details
of the coverage chosen. The Student Accident's Effective Date of coverage will be
shown on the letter that is sent with the policy documents. Each school's policy
is issued under a Master Policy which has the effective date of July 1 and a termination
date of June 30 the following year.

Q: Are athletics covered under this plan?
A: Yes. All sports are covered if this option is chosen and premium is paid.

Q: How often do I pay the premiums?
A: Premium is paid once a year after receipt of the invoice from UnitedHealthcare.

Q: Why do we need this type of coverage?
A: In today's litigious society, every organization is vulnerable to lawsuits.
Base Student Accident Insurance provides valuable protection for the students, and
also serves as a buffer to protect the organization's General Liability limits for
catastrophic losses.
